FOOD JOURNEYS ON FILM WITH KHALIDA

A cinematic collaboration between Free to Feed and filmmaker Tim Melville, exploring Free to Feed participants, their journeys and what it means for them to connect with others through food. Three beautiful films were created and today we bring you Khalida's story which is the final instalment in this three-part series.

MEET KHALIDA

Khalida is a passionate home cook, mother and grandmother, who sought asylum in Australia after challenges in Pakistan. When she's not pottering in the kitchen or looking after children Khalida loves crafts and sewing. Khalida met Free to Feed founder Loretta in the Asylum Seeker Centre kitchen in Brunswick many years ago and has been keeping in touch with Free to Feed ever since.
